Where
everything adds up… < What better choice for a new branch than the site
of Martins Bank’s Bristol Victoria Street Office than at the headquarters of
NCR, (that’s the National Cash Register Company), at Transom House, in
Victoria Street. In 1966 NCR will provide much of the computer
hardware for Martins’ new London Computer Centre, and has provided statement,
ledger and adding machines to the Bank for decades. Many of the Bank’s newer
outlets are opened as sub branches to nearby larger offices, and Victoria
Street will be run as a self accounting sub branch to Bristol Queen Square. |
